I have a Netcom modem NB5 plus 4W with Airport Express plugged in.
The Netcom has a signal (very weak) so I don't use but is
broadcasting as I can't turn off. No instructions in how.
Hi Rosemary ,
To block access through the wireless of NB5 try reading the article
here at Netcomm .
Also there are links in that article you could follow for further info

That is a long link above .. make sure you get all of it
Mail if you need more help

It has WPA password.
The Express has WEP password as it dies when I use a WPA one.
As to usage..probably access utube once a month for a couple of
videos..many months not at all.
Don't download music or movies. My husband watches news videos
fairly often. Otherwise it's email and web pages. This month went
over 5mb by 25th

Unlikely to be the case if you have your wireless password
protected but quite possible if it isn't. First thing you want
to do is log into your router and set up a password for your
wireless network if you haven't already. If you have one but
your still concerned then you can change your password. You can
probably see what computers are connected to your router from
your router login or you may be able to have a look at your
usage patterns from your isp login if they provide this feature.
Stuff like youtube can use a surprising amount of data quite
rapidly.

I think someone is using our wireless connection. Our usage has
rocketed up
How do I know? How do I stop it?
