Hi Gordon, Do you mean you cannot enable internet tethering in the iPhone's settings? Or, when you plug the iPhone into an available USB port on your computer, the iMac doesn't automatically recognise the tethered iPhone?
Have you tried turning you iPhone off and restarting it and also the iMac. Did you repair permissions after installing the OS X 10.6.3 Combo Update? Also did you run Software Update after installing 10.6.3, as there were updates available after installing 10.6.3.
