Hi Tim A couple of times, I've found that although Preview is great, it doesn't seem to "release" the TWAIN driver to another Application. Before trying the others, give the machine a restart then go through using Acrobat first and see how it goes. (Also worth trying Photoshop - Import - <scanner name> and see if that works as well.
