True “streaming” media isn’t cached to the machine viewing it so there is no way to save a local copy of the file. An example of what I mean are the Apple Events videos e.g. <http://events.apple.com.edgesuite.net/1009qpeijrfn/event/index.html> This video can't be downloaded and saved. A right click (Control click) of a "direct" link to a QuickTime file will show many options for opening the link directly in QuickTime Player or saving the file. Are you able to send the link, either to WAMUG or to me 'offlist' so we can see whether it is a video that can be downloaded & saved for viewing any time.
