Looking to network USB HDs and the answer was under my nose all the time I
looked up Airport BaseStation Extreme in the Apple Store and :
The AirPort Extreme supports up to four USB devices connected through a powered
USB hub (it has it's own power cable).
Share your hard drive.
You can share an external USB hard drive over your wireless and wired networks
by simply connecting it to the USB port on your AirPort Extreme Base Station.
Called AirPort Disk, this feature is perfect for sharing files and more.
