Hi, I also upgraded to iLife 11 with no issues for my 35gig library, which is on a separate HD. The library took about 25 minutes to upgrade.
My iPhoto library is a very clean and simple setup as it's just a set from our recent travels, all added on the one date, I wonder if this makes a difference.
