I just downloaded the latest update to Microsoft Office 2011. Unbelievably, half way though the update it demanded that I quit Safari before it could continue. No options, no choice. Quit Safari or I stop the upgrade now. Thank heavens for Safari and its "Reopen all windows from last session" command, since I had about 37 tabs open from a number of news sites at the time.
You'd think they might have worked out how to get around this little problem after all these years. Still, it is Micro$oft, and the wheels of progress turn slowly...
