Depends the data is embedded in the jpg's metadata so on a simple drag and drop copy (SD card to HD etc) or a right click "save as" on a web page image will copy the full JPG with metadata.
Simplest way is to open a file in preview select all and copy in to a new preview file then save This strips all the extended EXIF data off: For an example copy these two images to your desktop http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a353/marxz/5424291280_41f2a6d4fd_o.jpg http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a353/marxz/5424291280_41f2a6d4fd_onoEXIF.jpg and then open in preview and Tools show inspector. In the EXIF field for the original the image capture data is visible (note that I export with minimal EXIF so even this doesn't have all the EXIF data that the camera saves) But in the preview, select all, new, image there is only EXIF data about the colour profile and the X/Y resolution From: James / Hans Kunz <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> i'm just wonering if copying the pic: does it copy the exif data aswell? if not then just never publish the original pic, if yes you may resort to make pix of your valuable items on a different place James ________________ [email protected] Mark Secker (Ba.
