Hi Rod

I use Dropbox on my iPhone and iPad for viewing a multitude of file types including Word, Excel and PDFs. I don't find that it uses too much data, but obviously that would depend on size of files and the frequency with which you access them.

In Dropbox you can also "favourite" a document by tapping the star icon at bottom of screen (on iPhone) which then downloads a copy of that document to the iPhone so that it is available for viewing by you when there is no WiFi or 3G available to access Dropbox online.
I use this process when travelling for access to my electronic air tickets and other essential documents etc.

Hope this helps.

cheers
Jane

Hi WAMUGers
Please - your advice would be appreciated:

To easliy view a word or excel doc on iphone - is Dropbox the way to go? (currently using it)
Doesn't chew too much data?
OK to use overseas?

Or... can you convert them to pdf and somehow get them into iBooks?
