WAMUG Special General Meeting

Under Rule 5.2 of the WAMUG Constitution, the WAMUG Committee are calling a
Special General Meeting (SGM) to be held immediately prior to the next monthly
meeting on 3 May 2011.

At this SGM, the Committee proposes to present 4 amendments to the current
constitution for consideration.

The proposed amendments are specifically in relation to 1) subscriptions -
bringing them into line with the calendar year, 2) corporate members - changing
their ability to be committee members and 3) electing committee members at the
AGM. There are actually two proposed amendments in relation to corporate
members but both relate to the same main issue.

A special page has been put up on the web site that details the full proposed
amendments covering the current clauses, the proposed amended clauses and a
detailed explanation for each.

A PDF copy of the page can be downloaded from the site (link is at the top of
the page).

These proposed amendments have been formulated following various discussions on
the List over the years.

Voting.

The committee is hoping to finalise voting arrangements in regards to proxy and
postal voting as its next committee meeting on 19 April 2011.

These will be posted up on both the List and the web site as soon as they are
finalised.

Voting is open to all life and current financial ordinary members.

Comments.

WAMUG members are encouraged to read the full details on the web site and are
invited to leave comments about any or all of the proposed amendments.

Comments may be left either on the web site post or on the this List bulletin.

Regards to all.
