Digital Radio -
I have the bedside table clock radio version by Yamaha, has an iPod/iPhone
dock, that is why I bought it, also has two alarm settings, another reason one
for me, one for my wife
Cost a few hundred dollars but Mr Cameron in the morning comes through very
clearly, not a boom box at all. Wooden cabinet I'd say.
3.5mm input. I think I saw a usb plug on the updated version. Mine brings up a
'not suited for iPhone,' message on the iPhone4, every so often but it does
work and charges my phone, iPod functions and music controlled by physical
buttons on the unit. Many interesting stations available.

Hi Stuart,

I have a Roberts DAB+/- Digital portable radio which I find very satisfactory.
The sound quality is very good and it does have a line out port in the back as
well as a head phone port. Looks as if it will also run on 6 D cell batteries.
The model may be ecologic 4 - a most satisfactory unit. It did cost some
hundreds of dollars; but very high quality indeed!
Sorry I am unable to provide you with technical details.

I also have a Sangean pocket radio with a rechargeable battery. Good for
listening to the cricket when I am out and about, however, not in the same
league as the Roberts.

Kind regards
Maureen
