No. AppleCare was definitely expired. The MacBook was purchased in 2006 an the Time Capsule replacement was earlier this year. One possibility is that they confused it with the Time Capsule that I bought more recently but I did clearly tell the Genius Bar guy that I had purchase the Time Capsule some years ago in Canada.
