Upgrading both > applications to their latest versions fixed everything. > > Peter Hinchliffe Apwin Computer Services > I had the same issue with Safari 5.1 running under 10.6.8 and found CosmoPod was the offender Stored in Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins was CosmoPod.bundle which I deleted and Safari is now running properly. I found turning OFF plugins in Safari made no difference to the problem and made troubleshooting harder. There were no warning messages running under my normal user account and only when I opened Safari in a new user account, did the warning come up that CosmoPod was unhappy. Console also helped me detect the problem.
