That would be Michael Scriven and to my knowledge he is still alive and kicking working at a university near Los Angeles. :-) He used to spend 6 months lecturing at UWA and 6 months at UC Berkley every year and would bring back the latest Mac news and gossip straight from the famous Berkley Mac Users Group (BMUG) and Silicon Valley. In the days before the web (and wide email usage) he was a font of info for all of us early Mac users and if I recall correctly one of the instigators of UWA getting some of the first Mac 128Ks in 1984. I was vice president of the University Macintosh User Club at UWA, a short-lived student guild affiliate of WAMUG at the time and early WAMUG committee member so his titbits were very much appreciated for our WAMUG and UMUC newsletters over quarter of a century ago (gasp!) Ah memories. -Mart ------------------------------------ Martin Hill email: mart_hill "at" mac.com homepages: http://web.mac.com/mart_hill Mb: 0401-103-194 hm: (08)9314-5242 -- The WA Macintosh User Group Mailing List -- Archives - <http://www.wamug.org.au/mailinglist/archives.shtml> Guidelines - <http://www.wamug.org.au/mailinglist/guidelines.shtml> Unsubscribe - <mailto:[email protected]>
