Hi Merv,

You have not got back with anymore information so you might have got the USB 
Wireless Adapter working.
If not, try this:
Go to: <http://www.ralinktech.com/en/04_support/support.php?sn=502>

1. Download and Install the driver: USB(RT257X/RT2671/RT2500)  
2. Plug in USB Device. 
    The Ralink Wireless Utility will open, in about 20 seconds it should detect 
the device: connected. 
3. You should also set up a profile in the utility. 
    Just add and activate.

4. Then open Network Prefs, Network Port Configurations, and Hit Apply. 
    A new port should show; Ethernet Adapter (en2).
5. Select SHOW in the Network Prefs and check Ethernet Adapter (en2).
6. Hit APPLY. 
    The TCP/IP info should show IP address/Subnet/Router connections.
