Basically you should be able to open an .xml file in any text editor or
popular web-editer, as xml is a text file.

TextWrangler is a freeware editor that supports XML syntax colours
(www.barebones.com)

or BBEdit (also barebones - commercial)
or Oxygen XML Author (commercial)

And if you have something like Adobe Dreamweaver that will open it as well
and support syntax colouring.

Subject: opening xml files

Good afternoon muggers

I have received an xml file from a collegue of mine (a result of an export
from a database) and I cant open it with the applications that show up when
'open with' is applied.

Can someone please point me in the direction of an application and/or
utility that I can use to open it?

Thanks very much for any advice on this

Best regards

Chris
