I am not aware of any third party system modifications, I keep away from such things like the plague! But who knows, with many bits of software installed, what counts as system modification? Many installations, like VMWare Fusion recently updated to V5, ask for password so presumably they write somewhere where they need permission. All seems 100% anyway.
