Good morning, I've updated my iPhone 4 overnight and got up early to make sure I still had a functional phone.
The outcome, yes I have. Yay! The iPhone 4 is at the bottom of the tree now regarding the upgrades, so was most likely to suffer from performance slugs. It's too early for me to tell yet, but I've not noticed any significant changes. The iOS uses the internet so much, it's sometimes hard to tell what is machine slowness or network delays. And also there are no caches of data for it to load quickly, so I am giving it the benefit of the doubt. If you're detecting some hesitation in overwhelming positive, then that's true - it would be nice if it were snappier. Maps appears to be more accurate, and I was able to find Nannup townsite by entering Nannup in the Maps search. This was unlike the previous version which placed the marker in the middle of the forest, obviously using the centre of the Shire as it's reference rather than the centre of the town. The different appearance of apps will take a bit of getting used to.. iTunes has done it's backup with the new iOS, the syncing is complete. No dramas.
