Thanks for both of those inputs, Ronni. No help either one, no sound controls showing. However I think I have at last found the reason. To get the sound you need a Gmail account, in a tiny little box, doubly small on an iPad mini. The material is a series of tutorials contained in a book that I read on Kindle for iPad.
