Well, very disappointed. The genius this time was not helpful. His solution was for us to jump to iCloud Drive meaning we could only access Pages via icloud.com ( maybe!) which of course only works with a Internet connection. Even when we said my husband's access via his ipad was fine, he said it was the same with everyone with iOS 8! He persuaded Ruari Jack to upgrade from 8.0.1 to 8.0.2 because he said the 8.0.1 would wreck his ipad ( damage the logic board). Even with 8.0.2 RJ is still able to access Pages documents via his ipad. As he accesses the documents more often than I'll have to put up with not accessing them from my iPad until Yosemite arrives and hope that that fixes it...although I'm beginning to doubt that too.
I also by the way tried downloading Pages again...with no luck.
