Hi Peter,

I updated from Yosemite OS X 10.10.1 to 10.10.2 using the
OSXUpdCombo10.10.2.dmg (841.1MB file size)
Installation only took 5mins, including the Apple ID SignIn setup windows.

I have not experienced the problem you are having in Apple Mail & have not
heard of any issues with this.
I can drag messages to a Mailboxes that have Sub Folders (‘nested’mailboxes)
I ‘perhaps’ noticed you need to hold the message a bit longer before the
Mailbox opens to display the ‘nested’ mailboxes?
But is does work as it has before the update.

Can you Control-Click a message, choose ‘Move To’, then choose a Mailbox?
If you IMAP accounts and are unable to move messages, it is possible the
messages contain invalid characters
Have you restarted Mail, restarted your Mac, did you Repair Permissions after
installed the Update 10.10.2?

This is how I install OS X Updates:
1. Repair Permissions
2. Backup my Mac (Time Machine & a SD Bootable Clone )
3. Turn Time Machine OFF
4. Quit all open applications
5. Disconnect any devices connected to Mac

After installation completes:
1. I Repair Permissions
2. Open all my important Applications & thoroughly check everything is working
correctly
3. I don’t turn Time Machine ON or connect any external devices until I’m
satisfied that there are NO problems
4. When I am sure there are no problems, then I turn on Time Machine
5. After working for a few days in the new updated system, I then do a SD
Bootable Clone.

Cheers,
Ronni
