Interesting Daniel.
I understood that iiNet are now a pretty large company so that surprises me !

When I moved house just over 5 years ago to Jane Brook I was forced to
reluctantly move from Westnet to Bigpond.
Because Bigpond were the only one with any decent speed in Jane Brook.
Even Westnet admitted this to me on the phone.

But since going to Bigpond I have been pleasantly surprised by their service
and especially their help on the phone.
At one stage I ordered a technician to my home to see if speed could be
improved (even though it was way faster than Westnet). He found a fault in the
phone wiring in my ceiling and once he fixed it my speed jumped from 1.5 to 14.
It cost me $85 but was well worth it.

Previous to Bigpond my speed with Westnet was 0.65
