Hi Bill,

When I had issues with my Eyetv3 Elgato suggested I use their software to
uninstall it before re-installing.

Anyway, this was their reply ..

Brian,

Thank you for contacting Elgato Systems.

We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with your Elgato EyeTV 3
Software.

First, let's uninstall EyeTV, so you can install it again. Before you uninstall
the software, make sure that you have your EyeTV Activation Key, you will need
this to re-install the software. If you are unable to locate your Activation
Key, you may be able to retrieve it here:

http://help.elgato.com/customer/portal/articles/1139745-i-need-help-with-my-eyetv-activation-key?b_id=360

Once you have located your Activation Key, we have a special utility, called
EyeTV Reporter, that can help you with the uninstall process, you can download
it here:

http://help.elgato.com/customer/portal/articles/1139576-how-do-i-use-the-eyetv-reporter-utility-?b_id=360

First, please complete the "Easy - Backup Preferences" section, so your basic
settings will be saved, just in case. Then, the "Easy - Uninstall" section will
give you the necessary instructions on how to complete the uninstall.

Finally, you can download EyeTV again from here, if necessary:

http://www.elgato.com/en/eyetv/eyetv-3/support/update

Launch it to start the installation process.

Once this is complete, let's repair the Disk permissions.

Open Applications > Utilities > Disk Utilities
In Disk Utility, select the disk in the list.
Click First Aid.
Click Repair Disk Permissions to test and repair permissions.

If this does not resolve your issues, we would like you to send us more
information about your Mac and its setup. You can do this using the EyeTV
Reporter Utility.

In the Advanced section, we would like you to select all items under sections
A-F, then press Next.

After you send us the information, please respond to this email and let me know
that they were uploaded, so I can have a technician start to analyze them.
Thank you,
Daniel Landsberg
