Bill, using Photos to import files means that your photos are put into a database that in inaccessible to anything but Photos. You then have to export the photos to get them out of the database. So, I would never use it as my only way to get photos onto my Mac. Lightroom does the same thing. Basically I want all of my photos in folders that I can accessfrom any software program. Adobe Bridge and Sony Playmemories do that for me (Playmemories does work for importing with my Nikon cameras as well as Sony cameras).
Two possibilities: if the CF card isn’t accessible on your desktop. It may have been formatted for use on Windows only. Therefore, accessing it on a Windows machine should work. Or, the card is corrupted. In that case you will need some sort of recovery program to get your photos off the card. I’m an enthusiastic photographer using Nikon cameras and I have never had the problem you describe, which suggests that the problem is one of the above. cheers, Susan. > On 15 Jan 2016, at 9:08 AM, Bill Parker <[email protected]> wrote: > > Correction.
