Try starting in Verbose Mode (hold down Command & “V” when starting up). This 
will take you to a black text-based display full of code, but you’ll see all of 
the various processes as they launch during the startup phase. No guarantees, 
but it may be helpful in identifying just what is causing things to shut down.
