Hi, my wife’s MBP 2011 (El Capitan) is very slow. It has a 500GB HDD and 4GB RAM. As per two seperate prior upgrades I’ve successfully done to my two sons MBP’s, I’ve ordered her a 500GB SSD and 2 X 4GB RAM cards. This will speed it up quite a bit.
I run backups all the time (Time Machine) and wonder if I should do the upgrade to High Sierra prior to doing the migration to SSD or after. Any tips and other advice before I proceed on this, probably next weekend.
