Hi Severin. This has been happening to my 6s and my wife’s 5 for a couple of months. Consequently I do not feel it is a phone or battery issue. I feel it must be an iOS issue because that is what our phones have in common. We both use the latest iOS.
We used to always switch off at bedtime and switch on in the morning. My battery could be 58% at switch off. Then in the morning it would show the red line then switch itself off. Re-starting would do the same. Plug in to charge and battery would be 57%. So now we MUTE at night and do not switch them off. This means charging more often but we don not get that nuisance issue. On out next visit to Perth (could be next week) we plan to visit the Apple Store with this issue. Once we have done that we shall report back on WAMUG. > On 9 Aug 2018, at 10:04 am, Severin Crisp <[email protected]> wrote: > > The battery indication on my iPhone 6 is erratic to say the least.
