Hi all I am having trouble getting my 27 inch late 2013 iMac (running 10.15.5, but was happening 10.15.4) to go to sleep.
I have tried the usual things like ejecting external drives, unplugging them and plugging them back in. Zapping the PRAM. I had this problem a year or two ago and the ejecting and reconnecting the drives did the trick but not this time. Apple says something else to try is to “update the firmware” on the external drive. I am not sure I have ever had any luck finding firmware for drives. I have looked at the processes preventing sleep and there are a number of them. This list goes up and down but never seems to get to zero. useractivityd sharingd apfsd hidd cupsd backupd-helper backupd 4 mds_stores Does anyone have any thoughts?
