Hi Walter, yes I have used many of them previously. I currently have 3
Volkswagens and they work well, but you must choose carefully for your car. For
VW’s, I use the “OBDeleven” (Google it) device paired with iPhone or iPad. The
OBDeleven OBD2 scanner is designed specifically for all VAG cars (Volkswagen
Automotive Group - VW, Audi, Skoda, Bentley, Lamborghini, Seat branded cars all
work with this one). I also have some cheap eBay generic (<$20) which will work
on just about anything with an OBD port I believe.

What car do you have?

They are useful to track live data - I watch exhaust gas temperatures while
towing my caravan but ALL engine parameters can be tracked live.

Regards

Pete.
