Hi Peter. I have had this issue for some time. I think it is because we use the same Apple ID. But I don’t want to change that because it syncs Contacts & Calendar beautifully.
But mine was with Message. So finally I found this on my iPhone:- Settings/Message/Send & Receive = here you can select or deselect mobile number or email. Not sure if this will help your email issue.
