Thanks Peder I’ve had a look at Transmit as you suggest. I should have so before sending my earlier message.
I can’t see that it has an iOS version which is what I was after I should have been clearer too in saying that I needed primarily a text editor that also does FTP. Like BBEdit. What I really want is bbedit on iOS but alas that does not seem possible I just need something to make minor changes to a website written in HTML without having to go to an OSX machine.
