Hi Stephen

My apologies for my late reply.

I’m not certain what I did when checking my hard drive and downloads earlier, I
noticed the Macintosh HD icon sitting on my desktop, I thought that I had
somehow clicked on it and I ended up with a copy of it on my desktop, I tried
to remove it by “Eject” nothing happened, then I tried to put it in the bin,
that didn’t seem to work so I left it alone. The next time that I started the
computer I noticed that the icon had gone, it is only when I noticed that my
computer seemed a little slow that I cleared my desktop and then decided to
empty the rubbish bin. I wasn’t paying attention until a ‘box’ appeared on my
desktop informing me that 26,000 items had been deleted, I stopped the deletion
from there and wrote to WAMUG.
At present there are 477 items still in the rubbish bin, which includes Files
as well as photographs.
I also have another HD icon sitting on my desktop? So not sure what I have
done.

Thanks Stephen, hopefully you may have an idea or two.

Kind Regards

Tony Francis
