Hi Tony, If it’s just an alias, you can just delete it by dragging it to the Trash. If it’s duplicated it, it will generally appear as a folder, and can just be deleted.
Hard to say “what” is duplicating it without seeing the system and knowing all things open. But most things generally won’t duplicate it without some form of “action”. Only thing could be is if a link / shortcut / alias is actually sitting on “another drive”, so when you click or open a file - it’s referring the other location and therefore mounting the second drive / icon. But that’s generally when something is stored on a different location that that happens.
