     Hi Stephen,
I do use Mail on my Mac Studio and I always drag my PDF/JPEG/WORD
   files
from a temp. folder on my desk top to my email, and so far have not
   had
     any problems.
P.S. I do put the files I want to send in my TEMP folder first, I do
this for convenience sake and also to prevent me from sending the
   wrong
files. As mentioned above I write my email then simply drag the files
from the Temp folder to the email. Once I know the email and its
attachments have gone I clean the Temp folder.
P.P.S. Have you tried to BCC the email and its contents back to you
   and
     see the results?
I you step-son is already doing this , then possibly there is
   something
in the Mail Settings, but I’m not aware of it.
     Best Regards,

       Hi folks.
My step-son has the following issue with Mac Mail.
Just wondering if anyone has any ideas please ?
He used the “Attach File” option in Mail to send several PDF files
   to
his insurer. He was later informed that the email “attachments”
   were
not actual PDF files, but links to download them. Due to the
     insurer’s
security policies, their staff are not permitted to access such
     links,
and he was asked to resend the documents as email attachments.
Unfortunately, despite numerous attempts, none of the online
   guidance
he found enabled him to do this successfully. Is anyone aware of
   any
method or process that allows Mail to attach the actual files
       themselves, rather than download links?
       Regards,
