I can't see any such restriction in the README. The problem is, what
exactly does "as is with no guarantees" mean? Can we just assume an
implicit "with no restrictions"?

For me, the whole tone of the README implies a general "Here you are,
that's what you wanted all the time, now have fun with it" from the
creators of the game, glad that someone still cares about their
creation (and thus in no way inclined to put any restrictions there,
except maybe for the fact that they chose the GPL).

No. All we have is the README (and by now I don't think we will get
anything else).

Hm... I'm starting to sound like a broken record. I guess I should
refrain from further license discussions (will save me quite some time,
too).
