#3692: minimising causes program to stop working

using the latest bug fixed version (27/8/12) and when I minimised the
program it was running however when I brought it up again it stopped
working. This is also the same for the actual 3.1_rc2 game available from
the download tab. This issue wasn't present in 2.3.9. I was wondering if
this was previously fixed or not.
NOTE: Game runs perfectly fine on my computer normally.
