Vicente J. Ruiz Jurado commented on WAVE-331:
---------------------------------------------

Can you be more specific when you say "are incorrectly rendered"?

Nowadays we are seeing a related (or maybe the same) bug, sometimes. The
WavePanel shows ???? instead of non-latin chars in firefox (10) but works
correctly in chrome (using the the same wave, server, etc), or in the snippet
summary.

After removing cookies, cache and reloading the page in firefox, the problem
persist.

Restarting the wave server and reloading firefox, the problem disappear.

OT: Many service problems in wave (No conversation stuff) are solved with a
server restart, so, maybe some server services that we suppose that are
Singletons, maybe are not, and mess the things, produce inconsistences, etc...
It's only a hypothesis that I have to study more (looking for duplicate objects
with a memory analyzer, for instance).

> Environment: All browsers + operating systems (a nice mix of these

> Labels: encoding, utf-8
>
> Characters such as the £ (uk pound sign) or euro sign or reports with (eg.
> german umlaut) etc. are incorrectly rendered in the wave panel (most of the
> time).
> Notably though: often when the wave panel incorrectly loads them they load
> correctly in the search inbox wave snippet text...
