Yes, UX is important, but I struggle to see the proposal as a proper fix to the identified UX problem. The only loose association would have to do with intention preservation - you might be able to argue that using the servers temporal ordering of operations leads to better preservation of the users' overall intention under some circumstances, such as during low latency interactive collaboration. I'm not sure if that's true or not though... Anyway, since I think that the order chosen for concurrent inserts is arbitrary, I have no objection to this proposal being implemented.
