yup, the wave api group moved into wave using the group robot, but it wasn't really a great success; no digested feeds, no membership controls, no ratings system, no good search tools (title + 1 line vs. groups search with title + about 8 lines), and problematically new people would post to the group instead of using wave despite how well sign posted it was.
That said, once wiab is usable, I 100% agree that using it is the best way to find bugs / missing features / things you want is to use it, and turning it into a good groups discussion alternative would go a long way towards raising its profile and getting broad adoption... ~ Doug.
