Hi - All this week they've been showing the Darlings. I think a lot of
credit should go to
Denver Pyle. What a genius this man was at holding form throughout his
apperance on
the show. I can't think of one "not ONE mind you" actor who could pull
off Mr.
Darling ("I beg your pardon") better than Denver Pyle. Whatever he did
before the
show and whatever he has done since, I think he deserves a lot of credit
for his
contribution as the burley man from the hills who really did have a soft
spot in his heart,
to go along with his hard head! Today when Aunt Bee called him over to
the car and
kissed him before leaving, thanking him for wanting her, my heart just
went out
to this man. I don't even know if Denver Pyle is still with us, but I
will always carry
with me his treasured, uneducated wisdom, "I ain't about to be beat to
death

come to my mind are:

I am only 28 years old, which may seem very young for a Andy Griffith Show
fan, but I have been watching this show since I was just a young boy. This
show has definately been the best show on TV ever. I have taped EVERY
episode on VHS and have continued to interest all of my friends and family in
this show. To me, I feel like I am the biggest Andy Griffith fan in the
world,
that is at least until I saw the reaction to this show that the internet has
brought about from people all over. I have since started my own chapter in
TAGSRWC and even my church is starting a series on TAGS, relating the
shows to the Bible from the very moralistic views it portrays. I hope to keep
watching the rest of my life and also share it with my children to be. I know
I sound a bit obsessive, but I just can't help myself. Can you?

I have always thought that the Andy show was and is the very best show ever
on TV.
I watch ever one I can find and have (I
think) all on tape. I wish I knew a place to email Andy, Barney and the gang
