We just saw "My Dog Skip" last night; what a delightful film. One critic
had said it was a cross between "To Kill a Mockingbird" and "TAGS" and he
was right! Our own Leon was in it although he was a meanie and the lead
character was portrayed by a wonderful little boy whom I'm sure will go
far. Also, in all the pre-show little screen ads, etc. they had this
one: Say that Again! Shazam, I'm back in Mayberry Richard Gere from
Runaway Bride. Well you know how proud I was to see that! I wanted to
scream but I minded my manners. I heard other murmurs in the crowd so it
was definitely recognized. As one illustrious person said on here
awhile back: Mayberry is everywhere; ain't it grand!!! Aunt Bee of

"Hey", from Branson, MO. We just recently found this web site and we love
it. Two nights ago, on TVLand, "Mr. Darlin'" appeared on Gomer Pyle. Did any
one see that one? I also saw that "lame" story ending where everybody (even
Aunt Bea) went camping and missed seeing Gomer, (A few weeks ago, during the
Gomer Pyle-a-thon.) If you will notice, a lot of the "good TV Land and Nick
at nite shows" exchanged and shared actors and actresses. Miss Edwards even
played two DIFFERENT people during the run of TAGS. So did the character
actor that played everything from the man who swept dirt into the street and
made Barney mad to a friend of Sergeant Carter's on Gomer. It was kinda like
the studio wanted to get the most out of every penney they paid those
wonderful actors! Late last year my husband and I got a wonderful blessing:
we obtained tickets to see Jim Nabors (Gomer) in concert at a theatre here
in Branson. It was just about the best thing we have done in years. He was
asked to fill in for a few nights; he flew right over, leaving his macadamea
nut plantation in Hawaii. His voice was the best it has ever been. Like warm
honey. He told stories about TAGS and Gomer USMC. He even brought some
outtakes from Gomer Pyle. If anyone ever gets the chance, go hear him. Oh,
yes; he told about how he came within 2 to 3 days from dying. He was in liver
failure, and got a transplant at the very last hours of his life. He
unashamedly thanked God for his recovery. See 'ya in the reruns! The Hendersons
from Branson, Mo.

|Dear sir, I mistakenly registered and joined and only put my name. Big
mistake!
I should have put my husband's name, as well as mine...that will discourage
web-preditors, not that any one who loves andy, barney, gomer or goober
would...but
I just finished an article about preditors that surf web sites for names, etc.
The only people that have e mailed me a welcome to the club have all been men.
That makes me uncomfortable. No reflection on the club; most people I know
that loves mayberry loves people. But, I need to be safe, not sorry! thanks,
Jim and sheila henderson...

As somebody else had written, when voting for the favorite episodes of TAGS,
20 episodes were left out of the voting. I wrote to TVLand and also voted
for episodes in that group of 20. Maybe some of those will get aired.

Maybe it's the fatigue from a long day, and maybe I'm
wishfully thinking, but is the sign-off in this
volume's last lettre genuinely from Ernest T. Bass?
I absolutely adore him!

I was watching the episode where Barney thought Andy and Helen were buying a
ring at the jewelers and were going to get married. I noticed that in the
scene where everyone went to see the finished bedroom, Ron's father, Rance
was there and even spoke a few lines in the background. This is the first
time I noticed him in that scene in all the years that I have watched that
episode.
