I just finished an article about preditors that surf web sites for names, etc. The only people that have e mailed me a welcome to the club have all been men. That makes me uncomfortable. No reflection on the club; most people I know that loves mayberry loves people. But, I need to be safe, not sorry! thanks, Jim and sheila henderson... Sheila, I don't recall having emailed you, I usually try and email new members individually, to welcome them. I also usually try and include about my wife, and daughter. My wife registered under her own name, and has not said anything about having gotten bad emails from anybody in this group, however, I do think I understand where you are coming from....I belong to a family oriented chat room...and as such we have people as young as 12 who come in there...I try and encourage them NOT to tell to much about themselves...like how old...only give generalities about where they are from...(state not City or town), and NOT to give out their email addresses. Like you said, you do have to be careful. I also try and let people who are new to that chatroom (In particular women and kids) about a couple people who have come in there and caused problems...cussing, and otherwise being rude, crude and obnoxious....Most are appreciative of it...I won't say anything about it, unless that obnoxious person comes into the chat. Anyhow, I hope you will get to feel comfortable with this group. And welcome to both you and your husband. A dear friend of mine had one of the plates but it was recently lost in a house fire along with the rest of his Mayberry collection. We have managed to replace or are in the process of replacing most of what he had but the plate seems to be hopeless. If you could help me find one of these plates I would forever appreciate it Greg ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 19 Mar 2000 20:36:35 EST From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: "The Andy Griffith Show," as only "Inside TV Land" can! I understand that they would be used for a new edition of a TAGS trivia game (and I'm all for THAT idea!) The only concern I have is whether contributors will get any kind of credit for submitting their questions if they're used. We've got some excellent, talented TAGS fans in WBMUTBB, and it would seem that someone is getting a lot of "free brain power" from our members -- members who have the heart, the knowledge, and the interest to contribute. I'm not necessarily talking dollars here, but what about some kind of appropriate credit for authorship of questions? I'm not trying to take the fun out of this opportunity, but I see the possibility of exploitation. What do you fellow members think? ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 20 Mar 2000 05:51:56 EST From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Allan Melville Remember Allan Melville(the guy who plays Sam the Butcher on the Brady Bunch, and Sgt.Hacker on the Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C) how many characters did he play on the Andy Griffith show?Bye for now Andy fans.David<dandav46>Daniels ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 20 Mar 2000 06:10:29 -0500 From: "Parks, Jim" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: FW: "The Andy Griffith Show," as only "Inside TV Land" can! Most of you probably already know this little fact about how Barney was born on the show. The time listed is EST.
