There has never been a show like it & never will be. Other than the news, which I hate to watch, The Andy Griffith Show is the only thing we watch, well some sports also. I remember watching the show as a kid and feeling envious of Opie for having such a great extended family, at a time when my own parents weren't exactly getting along too well. I think it's really cool, too, that there are so many younger people that seem to see Mayberry with the same sense respect and longing that I do. Anyway, about me...I am a photo lab manager for Eckerd Drugs, I have two Shih-Tzu's, three cats and one roommate. He doesn't watch TAGS (nobody's perfect).I think if I had to compare myself with any one character from the show it would have to be the stranger who seemed to know everything about everyone in town. Like him, I seem to be on the outside looking in. But unlike him, I really do have a secret in my life that may cause even the good people of Mayberry to shy away from me. Nothing big, just not very Mayberry-ish. Former biker, former hate-monger, former skinhead, former jerk who became these things just to cover that secret. A lost soul who just needs to go back to the only decent home I ever knew. I hope there's room in Mayberry for someone who's learned his lesson.
