It was FUNNEY. I really like that episode also. When I read your post I started to laugh just thinking about how typical of Barney that is. I started thinking about the other times that Barney would start acting like the people rather then acting like the deputy. Remember the one with the spoiled rich kid and the bike? And also the one with Otis and trying to teach him to drive with the play cars? I'm sure there are more but those ones stand out in my mind. As= =20 I said, I am also just an Andy Griffith fan and love his early stuff (the=20 comedy stories like What It Was Was Football and Romeo and Juliet). Three=20 years ago, I had the opportunity to be in the local "Hee Haw" show where=20 different ones would dress up like singers and do their songs. I did not=20 sing, instead choosing! to do comedy. I dressed up like Andy and did "Football". The next year I did= =20 Romeo and Juliet, and this year The Discovery of America. Suprisingly, most=20 people under 60 have never heard most of those classic stories!=20 My wife and I had never even heard of Mayberry days until this spring, so we= =20 went this year for the first time, and plan to be back every year. It was by= =20 far the best time I have ever had. Besides a love of TAGS, we also love=20 bluegrass music. As an aspiring guitar and banjo player, it was a thrill to=20 get to hear and meet Doug Dillard. My wife works as a teller at a local bank. I am part-owner of a monument=20 company (tombstones, etc.). We have no children yet, but I have a good idea=20 for the name of the first one ...
