In the first episode, Howard McNear appeared as an owner of a Dodge City restaurant. The second episode featured Hal Smith as a hotel owner. It's always a treat to see TAGS cast members outside of Mayberry. I turned on the Westerns channel this morning and who did I see ... our own Jeff Pruitt, trying to marry up with a frontier lady! Seems like he's been looking for a wife for over 100 years! The movie was "Many Rivers to Cross" from 1955, and also featured a young James Arness, Russ Tamblyn and Robert Taylor settling up in frontier Kentucky. Hope you're all enjoying the fall weather ... and getting your fruits and vegetables canned and stored for the winter ... Is anybody making a "Barn-o-lantern" for Halloween this year? Best of luck to you and yours ... Kathy Jo and Rudy Rudy says "Woof!" HEY ALL! KJ and R, "Jeff Pruitt" was also in another western I remember seeing along time ago. I think the name of it was "Mail Order Bride". If I am not mistaken, I think Mickey Rooney was in it too. ~Liberty_Darlings ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 31 Oct 2000 06:04:41 EST From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: wbmutbb-digest V2 #360 HEY CAN ANYBODY SEND ME A LARGE PICTURE OF RAFE HOLLISTER,ILL GLADLY PAY A FAIR PRICE.WILLIAM UPCHURCH no joke 265 MILLER.ALBANY IN 47320. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 31 Oct 2000 06:06:51 EST From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Happy Halloween Happy Halloween, everyone. =A0 =A0 =A0 I see we just got another great bunch of new residents here in=20 Mayberry, and I'd like to welcome them here.=A0 I hope y'all have as much fu= n=20 here as I have the last 4 years.=A0=A0 You will find there are lots of frien= dly=20 folks here.=A0 Lots of the folks here have their own Mayberry sites as well,= =20 and they sure do a great job on em.=A0 Martha and I have the "official" soun= ds=20 page for TAGSRWC, and we would like to welcome all the new members to our=20 site, where you can download all the sounds in .wav format to use on your=20 computers.=A0 Come on by and see us soon. =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0=A0 Emmett & Martha =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0=A0 <A HREF=3D"http://matrix.crosswinds.n= et/~emmettswavs/">Them=20 Timers are Tricky</A> Chapter =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0 =A0=A0 http://matrix.crosswinds.net/emmettsw= avs/ P.S.=A0 Today is Martha's birthday, by the way.=A0 =A0 LOL ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 31 Oct 2000 07:44:50 -0500 From: "Dan Goodwin" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Alumni Sightings On 77 Sunset Strip, Mr. McBeevee played the villian and the crook Barney tackled on the sidewalk was the police lieutenant! Thanks for playing and fine job to Don Good, Rafe Hollister, Corey Sawyer (Liberty Darlings) and Paul Mulik and every one else who played at home on paper...and Linda for her "call the Man" recommendation. Rafe did a nice job publishing his answers in the Digest already. He came up with 37 of the 39 I planted. He only missed Milo (my low) as in Milo boys and Aunt Bee (this can't be) Now Paul, he came up with 45 outa 39! The guy is amazing. Actually of the 6 non-answers he came up with a few were pretty clever. He found Ope...in the word open and Al in the word all. Paul found all 39 of my answers. Now I've been goin over this, in Miss Crump's 'blame gradin' manual" and I think I'm gonna have to give everyone an A in arithmetic. Hey Groovy (how could you be scary?) We never do learn what she does for a living. She appears in only two episodes, "Ellie for Council" and "Andy Saves Barney's Morale." She was also mentioned, but not seen, in "The Christmas Story." Had the character been made a permanent part of the cast, then we probably would have learned more about her in future episodes. - --Paul ------------------------------ End of wbmutbb-digest V2 #361 ***************************** ************************************************** ~ Visit our sponsor ~ Weaver's Department Store ~ http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/weavers/ ************************************************** You must send your comments to the Digest from the address you used to join WBMUTBB or your message will not be posted.
