Was there originally an epilogue at all? >>> Every episode has an epilogue, but TVLand doesn't always show them (rather than complain, though, let's be thankful that they DO include the epilogues to most episodes, unlike TBS and WGN in the past). Anyway, in the epilogue, the state police come to collect their prisoner, and she immediately starts working her charms on the handsome young officer who escorts her to the car. BTW, this episode also has an opening scene that was cut. As Andy and Barney sit and relax in front of the courthouse, the subject of going to a meeting at church comes up. The choir is planning on getting new robes, and Andy expects the members will bicker all night over whether they'll get black robes with white collars, or white robes with black collars. - --Paul ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 3 Nov 2000 06:56:03 -0600 From: "Paul Mulik" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: number quiz >>>From: Jason Stillwell <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> I haven't heard anyone say how they're doing on Paul's TAGS number game. I've gotten several, but not near all of 'em; "Sick as a dog, but having the time of my life!!" >>> Almost nobody has sent answers to me, but I assume several people are still working on it. The stumper appears to be number 20, which nobody has gotten right yet. Here's another copy for those who may have missed it. Your mission (should you choose to accept it) is to figure out what words are represented by the consonants in the following phrases. For example: 11 P. on a F. T. = "11 Players on a Football Team," and 50 S. on the A. F. = "50 Stars on the American Flag." Each numbered item below represents a quantity that has something to do with TAGS. 1 B. in B.P. 2 C. in the M. C. 3 B. B. that O. R. 4 B. in the D. F. 5 C. in the R. B. S. 6 P. on A. I had the pleasure of seeing Clint when I was in LA last January when the "The Grinch" was being filmed. He showed us Polaroid's of himself as a "Who". He also had a shot of Ron in the "Grinch" makeup, which Ron wore during a day of filming. It seems that Jim Cary initially was having a very difficult time with the costume which was making him feel claustrophobic. Ron wanted to show his support for Jim by wearing the entire costume during a complete day of filming. Clint also had a few photos of himself in his role in Adam Sandler's new film "Little Nicki". Take Care, Bart > > Subject: Will Clint be a Who? > > Those of us who follow Ron Howard's films know that his brother Clint (No, > Thanks Leon) usually appears in them. With the upcoming release of "The > Grinch" I've been wondering what role Clint might play. Since we know thank > Jin Carey is the green guy, and Clint's not a dog...I've come to the obvious > conclusion that Clint must be a Who. living in Whoville. The interview focused on Dillard's new SYNDICATED RADIO SHOW that he is hosting with "The Boys From Mayberry." He said that its intent is to try to revive a bit of the TAGS magic on the radio and encouraged people to call their local stations to spread its syndication. So far it is on about 17 stations. Also, in response to the question about Clint Howard in his borther's upcoming Grinch movie, check out www.grinched.com. In the cast section, you will find a picture of Clint in his Who makeup. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 3 Nov 2000 11:43:51 -0500 (EST) From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Emmett's wife In a previous digest, Lisa wrote: >On the episode I posted about previously, >AuntBee the Crusader, I thought I saw >Emmett's wife in that crowd of crusading >women who were trying to help that poor >(moonshine-making) farmer. This is just my own bucket-thinking, but in the grand scheme of the TAGS universe, I believe that Emmett and Martha aways lived in Mayberry. Emmett just ran his fixit business out of his garage, until Floyd left town and the old barber shop went up for rent. Just like Sam Jones always lived on the farm outside of town, Barney's parents lived close by but he always spent Sundays and holidays with the Taylors, and Andy still was sherrif for a while after he got married but he rarely hung out with his old pals while Helen and Opie all but fell off the face of the earth! So my point is: I believe that she is always Martha, she just had a job at the boutique to suppliment Emmett's businss and of course she was active in the community. I may not be right but that's how I see it! ~the groovy misspoovey~ ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 3 Nov 2000 22:19:02 +0100 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Paul's number quiz Greetings from Danville, VA! Remember when Andy traded Mayor Stoner "Eagle-Eye Annie" his favorite fishing rod for the bed jacket Aunt Bee wanted. She was also in the episode when Opie had a crush on Miss Crump and bought her a pair of hose!!!!!! She was an extra in other crown scenes also. Everybody on the truck!!!
