You know, I don't even see where Warren was really "steppin' on Barney's shoes" all that much - -- his comedy was fairly unique. Those early shows in 65 & 66 were closer in tone to the B&W years, than any of the episodes post Warren. So I think his loss was our loss. Anyway, I've heard Jack Burns was a little bitter over his treatment when they removed his character, and it would sure be nice to contact the man to let him know that he's appreciated for his contribution to the show. Does anyone know if he's still with us? And if I can combine my posts, let me add that after TAGS my favorite old shows are The Dick Van Dyke Show and Dragnet. We've seen several actors who've appeared on TAGS in guest appearances on Dragnet. We LOVE it when we see someone from TAGS on another show or in a film, as in the already mentioned THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL which had both Aunt Bee and John Masters in it.
