I don't know anything about it, unless it involves meeting Thelma Lou and
starting a girls softball team.

Hands down winner: that motorcycle, with the helmet, gogglesand sidecar.
Barney got me ROFL just by showing up in that getup. The scene in which the
hand reaches out from under the station wagon to snatch his chalk marker away
from him is priceless.

Runner up: the time the governor was coming to meet Barney and he got pickled
(Otis had spiked the water cooler). All he had to do was put on that
civilian hat of his with his uniform and say "Hiiiiiiiiiiiii..." to
Andy...another howler...

Crazy, I guess I just wasn't thinking. I should have written either
"What a nice phrase!" or "That's a nice phrase!"

Maybe my education WASN'T worth every penny.

I don't think stacey needs to apologize. People interpret "rules"
differently
and I enjoy reading all the comments anyways. That's the only way we can
really
see what people think and feel about characters and topics. The bottom
line
for everyone on the list is "We love The Andy Griffith Show". Otherwise we
wouldn't
be on the mailing list! :)

Subject: Andy Griffith DVD Information Site (NOT Dick Van Dyke)

Hey Folks,

I just wanted to let you all know about a new site I've put together. With
the various TAGS DVD's out on the market now many of us (me including) are
flocking to buy them, even though they aren't officially licensed. However
with so many of them it's hard to know which is which, which is the basis
of my site. Located at
http://members.carol.net/~palmer/andyondvd/index.htm the Andy Griffith Show
DVD Information Site features a list of all known TAGS DVD's, the episodes
they contain, prices, etc. Also I have set up a form on the site for
people to submit reviews relating to the various DVD's, which I intend to
post on the site. So if you own any of these DVD's (or know of any I don't
have listed) please fill out the form and submit a review or drop me a line
about other DVD's. The site also contains direct links to purchase the
DVD's at Amazon.com, since Weaver's doesn't carry them. With DVD players
accounting for lots of Christmas gifts this year why not check out the site
and figure out which DVD to pick up to go along with your TAGS fan's new
fangled gadget ;-).
Merry Christmas to all.

Allan,
May I say, what a mighty fine set of rules you got
there. I must say that you couldn't find a better set
of rules to live by. I think we all need to write our
Congressman(person) and tell them that we could add
these rules to our Constitution. Ya know, We the ...,
how's that go? Anyway, once you learn it you never
forget it.
A big thanks to Allan for puttin' up with us and
takin' the time to fix up such a great Mayberry site.
So when you say your prayers tonight, include an extra
thanks for Allan for doin' this for us and for Jan &
Adam for puttin' up with him when he does it.
Happy Birthday to Adam comin' up and a happy
belated birthday to Allan. I believe his was the
10th.

I read this on a movie review website...

It's almost impossible to talk about kidnap movies without mentioning the
classic Disney film "No Deposit No Return." "Proof of Life" is similar,
only not as funny and Meg Ryan is no Don Knotts.

Nice to see others feel the same we we TAGS fans do.

Okay, you probably want an answer. It's when Barney is trying to find a wife
for Andy and invites all the eligible young women to Andy's house without
Andy
knowing about it. Andy is trying to read The Headless Horseman to Opie, but
is continually interrupted by the ringing doorbell.

Hey Sam and Everybody,

The answer to Sam's question in the episode "A Wife for Andy" is that Andy
is trying to read the story the Legend of Sleepy Hollow to Opie and all
these girls keep ringing the doorbell that Barney has set Andy up to meet.
These girls kept telling Andy that Thelma Lou had set up a meeting to meet
at his house. You know Andy being the gentlemen he is never turns any of
them away and continues to try to read Opie the story that he never does
finish. Well, I hope this is the answer ya'll were looking for.

Lots of Luck to you and yours and Goober says hey!

O.K., Sam, I think I know! I love the scene where Andy is trying
desperately to read a goodnight story to Opie, but is repeatedly interrupted
by potential love interests who were there "to meet Thelma Lou". (Am I
right?) I am also TOTALLY jealous! My husband never gets my Mayberry
jokes. Cute story. :)

Hey everyone!!!

I just have a few thoughts and comments to share. Not too long ago, someone
made the comment that TAGS comedy was not derived from making fun of another
character except for Andy's general teasing of Barney.Well,i caught an
episode the other day,it may have been "the rich kid"where Opie's new freind
put the walkie talkie under Goober's dog's collar.Poor Goober even said it
was a good practical joke, but Andy got revenge!!I thought it was a very good
episode.

I also caught a color episode the other day.I think it must have been the
first time that Warren was on the show because he did not know who Opie was
when he met him,but he knew Aunt b.Anyways,Warren ended up arresting all of
the Womens Auxilary for playing bingo, which Warren said was
gambling.Well, what took me by supprise is that Andy got so mad that he went
outside the court house and threw a rock and accidently broke a window!!Then
when he was tricking Warren into betting him a dollar,Andy turned the tables
on Warren at his own game by saying"Huh"then Warren would say"Yeah"back and
forth a couple of times.I laughed so hard at that one...Has anyone else ever
seen Andy get this mad before?

To answer Sam's question to everyone, the answer is the subject of Sam's
e-mail...A wife for Andy...

Tick A Lock Andy !!!!

Clint was in a movie called "The Red Pony" with Henry Fonda and Maureen
O'Hara. I've seen it on the Disney Channel, but it's been a long time since
I've seen it (or anything like it) on Disney.
