Hi all,

It has been a long time since I have posted to the old "Bulletin Board." My
husband and I thought of a good quiz question last night while watching Andy
on Nick at Night. How many times has Barney accidentally gotten shut in the
jail cell? Any one know the answer to that one? It was twice just in the
episode I was watching! I look forward to hearing from you all!

We've been talking about Barn's props - what about his
costumes?!

All time favorite HAS to be Barn as Santa!

Second, for me, would have to be when he dressed up like
the woman trying to place a bet.

How about you?

I am one that really enjoyed Warren (Jack Burns) as well as Howard Sprague
(Jack Dodson). I have watched the black and white episodes so many times
that I'm more likely to stop and watch the color episodes when they're on.

one of the officers on "Sanford and son."

Hi, I'm a newbee to this Mayberry scene. It's also the first time that

I am giving my two cents worth. I just thought that I might get in on
 this Warren action.

It has always appeared to me that the problem was that nobody could
beat
the pairing of Andy and Barney. For single episodes, like with Jerry
VanDyke, the pairing worked fine. But for continuous shows only Barney

would do. I feel that Warren did an excellent job. Unfortunately,
replacing Barney is like having Christmas with the Grinch instead of
 Santa Claus.

OK, now *I* can come out and finally own up to it...every time I see that
scene, I get "worked up" too...especially when Andy says "But don't the trees
seem nice and full?" I am a 36 year old man and that *still* brings a lump
to my throat! You know what else does it? The zoom in on the apple with the
long peel, that the sleeping visitor is holding in the epilogue of "Man in a
Hurry."

others: the pickles, Blue his faithful dog, and my favorite is his steering

Hi folks,

I just got done reading Joe's new "lost episode." If you haven't read it
yet, you should, because it's very well done. Almost like seeing an episode
you've never seen before. Be sure and check out the other fan fiction while
you're there.

Just one thing, though: Joe, you can kid me all you want, but you leave my
mother out of this!

Hey Ya'll,

My favorite Barney prop is his hair! I just love it
when it gets all messed up (by either Barn or one of
his girls). And I have to share this, when ever we
have soup for supper my kids (ages 8 and 9) say the
same thing, one says "Where's the soda crackers" and
the other says "You are?"

the name of the singer that sang my home town was keevey
hazelton......however, i disagree that it is andy griffith actually singing
the song.....i guess we should turn to paul for the answer, but i have to
say i have pretty good ears when it comes to music and i actually think it
is the actor who played keevey hazelton singing that song.....i think he's
lip synching on the screen, but i think it's really him singing.......i
would almost bet the farm it is not andy griffith.....course i've been wrong
before. paul??

Helloooo Dolllll,
Yesterday as I turned on the end of the original Nutty Professor, who showed
up as Jerry Lewis' father in the movie but Howard Morris... Kinda makes you
think that maybe the acorn doesn't fall too far from the tree..... Kathleen
Freeman was his mother.

I also watched Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me and spotted Clint Howard
in a bit part as an Air Force Air Traffic Controller.

My favorite Barney prop has to be his Mr.Cookie Bar.

Glad to hear that Laura Lee Hobbs is on the mend, exactly what has been
ailing her, if I am not being too nebby?(a Pittsburgh term meaning nosey)

I think my favorite cameo appearance is Opie's girlfriend that he enters in
the Miss Mayberry contest.

My favorite phrase/saying is without a doubt "Hellooo Dollll".

Well Doll, if I don't see you sooner, everyone have a Mayberry Merry
Christmas, and don't drink and drive on New Years Eve if you're heading over
to the Kit Kat Club in Mt. Pilot to celebrate.

It's the best when you are in a group of people and someone within that
group knows what you are talking about. The two of you bust up laughing
and everyone else just looks at you like you're nuts. You two, of
course, know you are not.

Wasn't his name Keevey Hazelton? By the way, I can't really pick only one
favorite prop of Barney's but I love the episode when he gets the motorcycle and
sidecar. The way he looked with those goggles on was hilarious, and then when
he
took off and left Andy sitting in the sidecar, I just totally lose control! I
love that episode...

See y'all over at Checkpoint Chickie! Lisa
