Happy New Year to all fellow Mayberrians,
Last night on WGN I saw Return to Mayberry again and was puzzled by Andy's
car with carburator problems as I recall seeing it as my Mom has a car like
that it should have fuel injection. Still enjoyed watching it though. I
also noticed a while back watching the episode where Barney knows the
preamble to memory there were a couple scene's after his hair was messed up
the combed nice again anyone ever notice that. Hopefully some station will
have a TAGS Marathon on Super bowl sunday as I always look forward to that as
my cable company don't have TVLand.

Sorry Janet, but DVDs are encoded differently enough that you can't play
them in a regular CDROM. You'll have to get a DVD player. I'm not an
expert, but depending on how old your computer is, you may also have to
upgrade your video. Your best bet is to check with the manufacturer of your
computer. Most have support websites that should be able to tell you how to
add DVD capabilities.

Hey, Vern, about that Johnny Coons situation? I'm with you 100%, pal.
I don't like change either and it just about broke my spirit when I learned
his real name was Tom Jacobs. And now that I think about it, I'm
pretty sure that's what made me sick.
He don't look like a Tom Jacobs. He don't have a Tom Jacobs face. What he
has is a beautiful Johnny Coons face, and he should keep it that way.
And I loved nothing better than reading those Coons sightings. They were a
pip.
Now, you know me. I'm the last person to start a moulage, but can't we all
agree just to call Mr. Jacobs by the name we all grew to love him by:

among us. Would that hurt SO much?
And then I could go back to reading my beloved Johnny Coons sightings,

My name is Sylvia Donithan. I'm 39 yoa. I have always enjoyed TAGS since I
was a small child ( I think the whistle tune at the beginning of the show got
me). However, to this day I still catch every episode of TAGS every chance I
get. Every year on Super Bowl Sunday I set my T V to record (8) great hours
of TAGS. Needless to say I have gotten quite a collection on tapes. I have
also purchased the Mayberry Trivia game which my family and I thoroughly
enjoy and look foward to getting together on holidays to play this Trivia.
There's nothing like mixing Mayberry and Christmas Holidays or Thanksgiving,
etc. I have two small children 5 & 6 and they have seen the episodes so much
that even at their young ages, they can answer alot of the questions about
TAGS. Watching the show makes me wish my children and life could be based on
the morals of TAGS..

Hey to everybody.
Been a resident of Mayberry for most of my adult life. Favorite episodes are
"Man in a Hurry" (is that me or what?), the episode (I forget the name, but
it is #61) where a newspaper man sends a reporter to Mayberry to gather dirt
on Andy. Barney, always trying to impress fills her up with Andy's
shortcomings. An investigator puts Barney on the stand and Barney gives an
impassioned speech where he admits his own faults and his support for Andy.
It has always been a favorite, and lastly, the Pickle story (Yeah, boy).
Great to have the forum to exchange ideas and share thoughts about how
Mayberry has helped shape our lives.

I am a married father of two boys.TAGS is my favorite program.(the boys
sometimes groin when i want to watch it) I've seen about every episode at
least once. Watching these shows really relaxes me! I recently moved from a
large city to a small mayberry-like town for just that reason. Getting to
know your neighbors makes for a wonderful life. I also like to sit on the
porch and think about whether I want to go downtown for some ice cream.
